A weekly nutrition workshop, wrapped in good company.

Nourish & Natter is a relaxed weekly get together where we chat all things food, nutrition and wellbeing over a cuppa. Part nutrition workshop, part community catch up - it's practical advice, myth-busting, recipe ideas and genuine connection, all in one session.

Perfect if you want to get a handle on your health but aren't quite sure where to start. No jargon, no judgement - just clear, evidence-based guidance in a warm, welcoming setting.

How it works:

  • 45 minutes: nutrition workshop covering practical, everyday topics
  • 15 minutes: open Q&A & discussion
  • Natter time, with a hot drink included

Details:

  • Location: Jubilee Hub, Town Hall, Saffron Walden
  • Runs: Mondays, 22nd September – 1st December (11 weeks)
  • Time slots available: Afternoon
  • Price: £10 per session, or £100 for the full 11 weeks (save £10)

11 Week Course Agenda: 

  • Week 1: How to Build a Healthy Plate: Learn what a genuinely balanced meal looks like and how to structure your eating across the day.

  • Week 2: Macronutrients: Fuelling Your Body Right: Protein, carbohydrates, fat - what they do, why you need all three, and how to stop fearing any of them. 

  • Week 3: Micronutrients & the Power of Whole Foods: Discover the nutrients that quietly run everything and why whole foods deliver them better than anything else. 

  • Week 4: Spotlight on Iron: Learn how your nutritional needs shift across your lifetime and how to eat in a way that supports your iron levels.  

  • Week 5: Meal Planning & Making It Stick: Build a practical weekly rhythm with batch cooking, repeatable meals, and a system that works around real life.  

  • Week 6: Introduction to Gut Health: Why It Matters: Understand your gut microbiome, what it influences beyond digestion, and why the foundations you've built already matter. 

  • Week 7: Gut Health & Diversity: The 30 Plant Principle: Learn why dietary variety is one of the most powerful things you can do for your gut and how to make it easy.  

  • Week 8: Probiotics: What They Are & How to Use Them: Cut through the noise on probiotics, fermented foods, and supplements and learn what actually makes a difference. 

  • Week 9: Prebiotics & Fibre: Feeding Your Gut: Discover the foods that nourish a healthy microbiome and why most people aren't getting nearly enough of either. 

  • Week 10: The Gut-Brain Connection: Explore how your mental state affects your digestion and how your gut health shapes your mood more than you might think. 

  • Week 11:  Your Foundations for Life: A full recap, a review of what's shifted, and a clear personalised plan for maintaining your foundations independently.
